On May 27, 1942, two young men, Jan Kubiš and Jozef Gabčík, successfully ended the operation under the code name Anthropoid with their attack on the representative of the Reich Protector. On June 4, the "Executioner of the Czech Nation", co-author of the "Final Solution" and the third man of the Third Reich, Reinhard Heydrich, died. Less than two months later, fate overtook them. Seven paratroopers died on June 18 in the Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church in Prague's Resslova Street. "We are Czechs, we will never give up!" the sentence that accompanied their last fight in the crypt, they fulfilled to the last letter.
